Mild weather making a return to Mid-Missouri
SATURDAY: Winds have turned out of the south this morning, which will help move in some warmer weather this afternoon. Temperatures will reach near 50 degrees today with some of us making it into the lower 50s. Grab the sunglasses if you’re heading outside as we’ll be seeing partly cloudy skies as well.
TONIGHT: We’re tracking a weak front that will move through tonight, but as of this morning looks to only bring cloud cover, but can’t rule out some spotty flurries with temperatures dropping to near 30 for overnight lows.
EXTENDED: We’ll see sunshine returning by Sunday afternoon and temperatures will rebound back into the middle 40s. As we near Christmas, we’ll stay above average for the end of December with temperatures staying around 50 degrees in the afternoons. We will have another disturbance moving through Monday night into Tuesday morning, that could bring us some light showers. Our best chance of seeing widespread rain looks to move into the area Wednesday and stick around through Thursday. This more potent system looks to bring some disruptive weather to the Midwest, but for Mid-Missouri, it looks like it will stay all rain with a chance of some rumbles of thunder. Temperatures will take a hit behind this system, returning us back to the low 40s for highs. Stick with ABC 17 News on air and online for the latest changes to tracks and forecasts.
