Court docs: Man runs family off road in Callaway County

A man was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child after he tried to run a family off of a road in Callaway County on Sept. 16.

Ronald S. Hux allegedly chased a vehicle through Fulton for several miles, trying to run it off the road and nearly striking it several times, according to the probable cause statement. The victim was forced off the road and onto the sidewalk in order to avoid crashing.

There were four people in the car at the time of the incident, including two children, ages 5 and 1.

Hux admitted he was guilty to police at the time of his arrest. According to court documents, Hux said he knew he messed up.

Hux had two bows with arrows as well as a loaded handgun in his vehicle at the time of the incident.
