Two horses shot with arrow in Miller County

One horse in Miller County was killed this week after someone allegedly shot it with an arrow along Highway FF.

The mare’s throat was also slit, and the arrow was cut out of the horse. Another horse was also reportedly shot in the neck with an arrow, but survived.

The Miller County Sheriff’s office said it does not currently have any suspects, but deputies are working on the case. They said this is the only case they’ve seen involving horses shot with arrows, and they had no information on whether this was a random or targeted case.

The Miller County Sheriff’s Office shared a post on its Facebook page.

Anyone with information on the incident can contact the Sheriff’s Office at 573-369-2341.
