WATCH: Fire engulfs Illinois recycling plant

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A warehouse holding a metal recycling operation burned Wednesday in Illinois, across the river from St. Louis, sparking alerts about air quality.

FOX 2 in St. Louis reported one person was injured in the fire in Madison, Illinois. Emergency management officials asked people nearby to close windows and shut off air conditioners, the station reported.
