Beautiful weather remains locked in place

TUESDAY: Following a cold start to the morning, southerly winds through the day will bring the return to mild conditions. Afternoon highs will top out in the mid 50s under mostly sunny skies, with clouds steadily on the increase into the afternoon hours.

TONIGHT: We’ll see some clouds increase into the overnight hours as temperatures drop into the mid 30s. We stay dry through the night with a slight wind out of the south up to 7 mph.

EXTENDED: Heading into Wednesday, we’ll be tracking an upper level wave that looks to bring us a chance of rain. Right now, timing looks to be Wednesday evening into Thursday afternoon when Mid-Missouri should expect some light showers. Rain amounts will be fairly light, with many locations topping our near .25″ of rain as we close the door on Friday. As the system exits late Thursday, cooler air will filter in to close out the work week. We only top out in the middle 40s Thursday with cloud cover lingering and low 40s by Friday.
