Laptops, wallets, purses stolen from unlocked vehicles
The Boone County Sheriff’s Department responded to several reports of thefts from unlocked vehicles early Tuesday.
At least eight people living in the County Downes and Kinkade Crossing subdivisions near Route VV reported laptops, wallets, purses, clothes, loose change and other items stolen from vehicles overnight, the sheriff’s department said in a news release.
The department has no suspects, but reminded people to lock their vehicles and not leave valuables in view.
