Light snow possible overnight, Cold air settles in through Tuesday
TONIGHT: A weak wave of energy is tracking through northern portions of Missouri this evening. With that, we’ll see a slight uptick in light snow chances, especially after midnight. By no means is this a significant impact event, but snow flakes are certainly possible as you head out the door in the morning, especially north of I-70. Accumulations will remain very light, with the majority of any snow sticking being well north of I-70. Temperatures fall to the low 30s overnight.
MONDAY: There’s a chance we keep flurries in the mix through the morning hours, but the majority of the day look to remain dry after 10am under a lot of tough cloud cover. You’ll need the jacket all day, with temperatures steady in the low to mid 30s. Fortunately winds die down, so wind chills won’t pose much of an issue.
EXTENDED: Cloudy skies will hold strong through at least Tuesday, some flurries are possible… once again, no impacts are expected. The main idea is that we stay cold, without much sunshine over the next 72 48 hours. Wednesday, we’re tracking a warm front lifting through the area which will help break up some of the cloud cover across Mid-MO and helping temperatures rebound a bit to near 40 degrees. Cold front is quick to follow Thursday, with a chance at a rain/snow mix. Trends keeps us cold through next weekend.
