MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin (WISN) — Restaurant management at the Red Crab Juicy Seafood Restaurant and Bar is offering a $1,000 reward for anyone who can help identify and lead police to arrest a man who has broken into the business twice in a matter of weeks.
Both incidents were captured by the restaurant’s surveillance cameras.
The restaurant said the first break-in happened on July 20, just after midnight. Video shows the thief crawling in through a window he broke, then heading straight for the slot machines.
The footage shows the man working hard to open the machines and get the cash.
Management said he broke in again early Monday morning. This time, he was caught on camera prying open a cash register with a crowbar. After fishing out the cash, he grabs some candy behind the desk before taking off.
Management said between both incidents, the thief made off with about $3,000.
“I’m on edge. Not only is he taking away from the business, he’s taking away from my livelihood,” said Shasta Julien, the Red Crab’s bar manager. “Maybe his concept is ‘I got away with it once, maybe I can get away with it again,’ but not this time.”
