Cole County man dies in overnight crash
A Cole County man died after a single-vehicle crash in the early hours of Saturday.
According to Missouri State Highway Patrol’s online crash reports, Richard Lowry, 30, of Eugene, was driving east on Highway 54 around 12:30 a.m. when he crashed.
Troopers said that near U.S. 17, Lowry went off the left side of the road, hit the ground before going airborne, and overturned.
Lowry was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash report said that Lowry was not wearing a seat belt.
This is Troop F’s seventh fatality in November, all of which occurred in one week.
