Endangered person advisory canceled for Macon teen

UPDATE – 3:30 A.M.: The endangered person advisory for Katie R. Piatt was canceled Friday Morning by the Macon Police Department.

According to the cancellation notice, Piatt was found safe in St. Louis.

ORIGINAL: The Macon Police Department issued an endangered person advisory for Katie R. Piatt, 17, Friday morning.

The teen was last seen 7:30 p.m. Thursday getting into an unidentified vehicle at the Casey’s General Store in the 800 block of South Missouri Street.

Piatt was seen getting into the vehicle with a man named West Perry, and possibly other unidentified suspects.

Police said the 17-year-old met Perry via the internet. She later texted friends saying that they would not let her out of the vehicle.

Police could not give a description of Perry or the vehicle.

Piatt is a white female, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 168 pounds, red hair, hazel eyes, light complexion, wearing faded jeans and a black, gray and white zippered hoodie.

Macon Police is asking anyone with information about this case to immediately dial 911 to contact the nearest law enforcement agency or call the Macon Police Department at (660) 385-2195.
