Statue removed from top of state capitol for cleaning and conservation
Ceres, the bronze statue on top of the state capitol, was removed Thursday morning as part of the ongoing renovation project.
This marked the first time the statue has been removed from the dome since it was installed.
Officials put ceres in a nearby parking lot for a two-hour public viewing after the removal.
