Jefferson City Council approves over $5.1 million in ARPA funding

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The city council of Jefferson City approved over $5.1 million in ARPA funding for various projects across the city.

The council approved ten projects:

• $175,000 of the City’s ARPA Funds for CVB Lost Revenue
• $150,000 of the City’s ARPA Funds for Downtown Beautification Planter Matching Funds
• $150,000 of the City’s ARPA Funds for Organizational Review Study Cost Set Aside
• $930,000 of the City’s ARPA Funds for Revenue Loss to the
• General Fund to Fund Identified Operating Expenditures
• $500,000 of the City’s ARPA Funds to Lincoln University for the Health Science and Crisis Center Project
• $200,000 of the City’s ARPA Funds for Police Station Elevator Replacement
• $1,000,000 of the City’s ARPA Funds for Missouri State Penitentiary Redevelopment Project
• $325,000 of the City’s ARPA Funds for City Infrastructure and Capital Projects
• $1,600,000 of the City’s ARPA Funds for the Hyde Park Burn Building
• $100,000 of the City’s ARPA Funds for the United Capital City Soccer Complex Project

The city did withdrawal a bill that would authorize $455,000 of the City’s ARPA Funds for Grant Match - Police Department Body and Car Cameras. The council withdrew the bill because it was funding that ARPA would not cover.
