Slick roads possible on untreated, less-traveled roads Tuesday

The temperatures will be well below freezing Tuesday morning, which can cause the leftover snow or any liquid to refreeze on the roads and make them slick.

Columbia Public Work and Boone County crews treated roads overnight to lessen the chance of slick roads, but officials urged drivers to still use caution.

Less-traveled roads and untreated roads will most likely have patchy slick spots.

Many schools in mid-Missouri plan to have a delayed start or drive snow routes because of the road conditions.
