Multiple rescues reported amid flooding in St. Louis
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMIZ)
Multiple agencies are reporting vehicles stalling and people trapped due to rising flood water in St. Louis.
TRAFFIC ALERT: The following intersections/roads are now also closed: Goodfellow from Natural Bridge to Goodfellow Pl., Compton/Chouteau, Compton/Laclede, Vandeventer/Page, Skinker/Hodiamont, Forest Park/Kingshighway, Olive/Taylor, and Hwy 64 near Kingshighway. #STL

The St. Louis Police Department is reporting Eastbound Highway 64 between Hampton & Kingshighway is also experiencing flooding.
The department is also reporting multiple streets are flooded with multiple vehicles underwater across the city however, no reported injuries.
The St. Louis Fire Department also reported several vehicles/motorists stranded in high/rising flood water on the 4000 block of Lindell just before 3:30 p.m. and North Vandeventer and Washington just after the same time.
TRAFFIC ALERT CORRECTION: Flooding has been reported in the area of Hodiamont and Horton Pl, with approx. 7 feet of water in the area. There are residents trapped in their homes in that area. @STLFireDept has been notified. PLEASE AVOID THE AREA. #STL

The National Weather Service in St. Louis issued a flash flood warning for the city until 5:45 p.m. with two to three inches o rain expected to fall.
