Basye holds on to 47th District seat

Republican incumbent Chuck Basye has won Missouri House of Representatives District 47.

Basye was running against Adrian Plank who would have been a first-time candidate.

Both Basye and Plank both supported medical marijuana in Missouri as a concept. However, Basye told ABC 17 News the three options that were on the Tuesday ballot were not right for the state. Voters approved Amendment 2, which Plank said was the best option for Missouri.

Basye said after winning that he will continue to focus on advocating for veterans struggling with physical and mental injuries in addition to developmental disability funding.
