Tracking additional waves of measurable rain

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with rain and storms moving in late, 72. Additional rain between 1-1.5".

TOMORROW: Morning showers and storms subside with partly cloudy skies by late afternoon. Highs in the mid-80s with a chance of an isolated storm.

EXTENDED: Unfortunately, this morning's heavy rain won't be the last for the week, but the good news is that training storms are not expected tonight. Rain amounts will likely range around 1-1.5" with isolated 2" amounts along and south of I-70. Storms are expected to move in from the west likely after about midnight and dissipate by late morning. Should the atmosphere recover by getting some sunshine tomorrow, we could have a couple isolated strong storms. Highs reach the mid-80s. Our final push of widespread rain will move late Wednesday night, affecting much of the area and bringing an additional 1-2" of rain through Thursday afternoon. The cold front behind all of this will push to our south Thursday night, effectively ending our rain and giving us some cool temperatures to end the week. Highs on Friday top out at 80 with morning lows on Saturday in the low 60s. Saturday looks great as most areas reach the lower 80s, but the front tries to lift back north on Sunday, increasing our chance for more showers and storms along with higher temperatures in the mid-upper 80s. Next week is trending hot, humid, and dry as temperatures get back into the 90s for highs.
