Hallsville man killed in single vehicle crash on Highway 124

HALLSVILLE, MO. (KMIZ)

A Hallsville was killed in a single car crash Sunday morning after crashing his car into a tree on Highway 64.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crash Reports, 73-year-old Carl M. South crashed on Highway 124 between Gano Chance road and Union Church road at 9:05 a.m.

South was taken to University Hospital and pronounced dead at 10:03 a.m.

According to the report, South was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

This is Troop F's 7th fatality for July and 43rd for 2022.
