Police investigating armed robbery at northwest Columbia convenience store

Columbia Police confirm they are investigating an early morning armed robbery in northwest Columbia.

Police responded to the Break Time convenience store in the 2200 block of North Stadium shortly after 2:30 a.m.

Police told our crew on scene that one suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise.

Police said the man entered the store and threatened the clerk with a firearm.

Columbia police officers and Boone County deputies did a search nearby with a K9 unit but didn’t find anything, or anyone.

Police said the man was wearing black clothing, black shoes and a black ski mask at the time of the robbery.
