Mexico man receives 27 child sex crime charges

A Mexico, Missouri, man is charged with 27 counts of various sex crimes for rapes and assaults he allegedly committed between September 2016 and May 2018.

The Mexico Public Safety Department was first made aware of multiple children being assaulted by Chandler Douse and another suspect, identified as C.M., in June. According to court documents, Douse and C.M. assaulted the children at various times. The children ranged in ages from 5 years old to 11 years old at the time they were assaulted.

Court documents say Douse allegedly raped some of the victims as many as 15 times. Victims said Douse would then threaten to kill them and would point out guns and knives in the household.

Both Douse and C.M. are in the Audrain County jail.
