Two people arrested after heroin found during a traffic stop

Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies pulled over and arrested two people Friday afternoon after they found heroin and drug paraphernalia in the car during a traffic stop.

Deputies pulled over Louis Richmond, 37 and Danielle Scott, 31, both of Jefferson City in the Holts Summit area near the US Highway 54 and State Road AA/OO interchange for a traffic violation.

Scott was the passenger in Richmond’s car and during the traffic stop deputies discovered Scott was a wanted fugitive in Cole County for felony drug charges.

Scott is being held without bond at the Callaway County Jail for Felony Delivery of a Controlled Substance and the drug warrant.

Richmond posted a court set bond of $4,500.00 and was released pending court appearance. He was originally booked for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The Callaway County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation is ongoing.
