Summer’s Final Bow?… Severe storm chances by Tuesday

TONIGHT: Slowly but surely rainfall will retreat out of Mid-Missouri, not before some wicked totals have already fallen, with upwards of 4-6″ of rain falling through Callaway & Cole counties along the HWY 54 corridor. Temperatures will remain steady in the upper 60s… some patchy fog is possible overnight as well.

MONDAY: Another dosage of heat and humidity takes hold on Columbus Day. We stay dry as temperature rise through the mid 80s by the early afternoon. Accompanying that heat will be a stiff south breeze at 10-15 mph, gusting to 25 at times.

EXTENDED: Our next chance of rainfall arrives by Tuesday evening, along a cold front is bringing an increasing chance at severe thunderstorms Tuesday night. At the moment the primary threat looks to be strong winds and hail, but there looks to be enough wind shear in the atmosphere to warrant a concern for tornadoes as well.
