Amtrak passengers experience delays in Mid-Missouri

Amtrak passengers experienced delays after mechanical issues with the train on Wednesday.

Amtrak confirmed Missouri River Runner Train 311 was traveling from St. Louis to Kansas City when it stopped east of Jefferson City for a mechanical issue.

Amtrak said during that time, the train lost power.

Passengers were provided water and snack packs while the train was stopped, according to the company, as well as alternate transportation to their destination.

Amtrak said passengers could open a case with customer relations by calling 800-USA-RAIL.
