The cause of the crash wasn't immediately available. A Boone County Fire Protection District spokesman said the crash involved two vehicles but no injuries. The second crash occurred a short time later at Sorrels Overpass. That crash involved three vehicles and two people were taken to University Hospital, the spokesman said.
Backed up traffic from the first crash led to the second crash, according to the fire district.
