Charges filed in concert groping case

A man accused of sexual assault a concert was charged with second-degree sexual abuse Tuesday.

According to court documents, Alton Conner Junior was at a concert on the University of Missouri campus in August. The victim told police Conner kept moving toward her and that she felt something rubbing against her lower back. When she turned around, she saw it was Conner’s exposed genitals that had been making contact with her.

Investigators said witnesses were able to identify Conner from a photo lineup after the concert.

Conner admitted to attending the American Authors concert at the Tiger Plaza and told police he was trying to wade through the crowd in order to get to the front. He said he leaned on a girl at one point after he tripped. Conner denied the allegations that his genitals were exposed.
