Miller County murder suspect in custody

Miller County Prosecutor Ben Winfrey issued an arrest warrant for a Chicago man in connection with a homicide.

The Miller County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release Monday that Joseph Mckenna is being held on a $750,000 bond for second degree murder and is awaiting extradition.

Human remains found in June were later identified as Tyler Worthington. The death was later ruled as a homicide.

Authorities said the prosecutor issued an arrest warrant for Mckenna based on information and witness statements gathered during the investigation.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol Division of Drug and Crime Control assisted the Sheriff’s Office with its investigation.
