At least one suspect on the run after northeast Columbia shooting

Police were still searching for at least one suspect Monday after a shooting in northeast Columbia that left one home with damage.

Police were called to the 2500 block of Eastwood Drive at 5:30 this morning. When officers officers arrived, they said they found several shell casings and a house with bullet holes. No one was injured, according to police.

One neighbor, who wanted to remain unknown, said “I don’t want to get shot up by my neighbors,” pointing to the house with gunfire damage.

Another neighbor said the shot “sounded like they were coming in her bedroom.”

Police have been called to Eastwood Drive more than 240 times in the past year, according to dispatch reports.

Thirty of those calls were made to the address with gunfire damage for called including theft, trespassing, suspicious persons, and just yesterday, there was a harassment call.

“Multiple people go in and out of the house,” said another neighbor who wanted to remain anonymous. “No one knows who lives there.”

Behind the house, there are two tents set up.
