One more warm day, before the coolest air of the season arrives
MONDAY: Drizzle will continue through the early afternoon hours, as an upper level disturbance continues to track to the northeast. While clouds and cooler conditions are in place right now, some peaks of sunshine are possible into the latter portion of the afternoon which will allow temperatures to warm into the mid to upper 70s by the end of the day.
TONIGHT: Clouds stick around this evening and overnight with a slight rain chance. Temperatures will remain in the mid 60s through morning with winds out of the southeast up to 9 mph.
EXTENDED: We’ll see another warm day Tuesday before a cold front rolls through the region, bringing a chance of some scattered showers and thunderstorms. We will have enough instability and shear that we could see some of these storms on the strong side. Once this front exits Mid-Missouri, we’ll be back into the upper 60s Wednesday afternoon as a Canadian high pressure builds into the region. The cool down will be brief, as we climb back into the mid to upper 70s as we close out this week. This weekend areas along and north of I-70 look to see spot showers in the forecast, as a warm front tracks through the region. Although rain is possible, it looks to still remain warm with temperatures in the upper 70s and lower 80s. Make sure you keep up with ABC 17 on air and online as this forecast continues to evolve over the next 7 days.
