Columbia man indicted on more charges for ordering deadly chemicals

A grand jury added more charges for a Columbia man who allegedly ordered toxic poison from the internet. Jason Siesser’s charges now include two counts of aggravated identity theft and using a fictitious name or address. He was originally charged with one count of attempting to possess a chemical.

According to Timothy Garrison, the attorney of the Western District of Missouri, the poison was intended to be used as a chemical weapon.

Siesser allegedly tried to buy the substance on two different occasions between June 14 and Aug. 23, according to an affidavit. An FBI investigation found Siesser paid for the chemical with Bitcoin. He’s accused of putting the chemicals in the name of a juvenile.
