A parade of cold fronts reinforces fall into next week

TONIGHT: With cloud cover already having made its way off toward the east, we’ll be left with clear skies overnight. We’ll see temperatures dip into the lower 50s with a light breeze out of the east continuing.

SUNDAY: It will feel like another fall day across Mid-Missouri as temperatures top out in the mid to upper 70s. Expect sunny skies through the day, with an easterly breeze under 11 mph.

EXTENDED: The slight warming trend continues into Monday as we reach into the upper 70s for highs. We will also pick up a spot storm chance Monday afternoon as well. A cold front will slide through the area Tuesday afternoon after we warm to near 80. This front will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms, some of which could be on the strong side. Following the cold front, we’ll see cooler conditions return to Mid-Missouri with temperatures in the upper 60s by Wednesday. We get another reinforcing shot of cooler air coming Thursday as the parade of cold fronts continues to usher in fall conditions.
