Gasconade man dies in single-vehicle crash
A Gasconade man died after crashing his truck Saturday night, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol online crash reports.
The report said that Douglas Sarchette, 64, of Bland, was driving his truck eastbound on Route C around 10:45 p.m. when he failed to stop at a stop sign at Route B.
After missing the stop sign, Sarchette went across Route B, struck a ditch and overturned, according to the report.
Sarchette was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers said the man wasn’t wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The crash happened in Troop F’s boundaries, making it the fifth fatal crash for Troop F in September.
