Two indicted on child sex crimes in Callaway County

A Callaway County grand jury indicted a Fulton man and woman on several charges including child sex crimes Thursday.

Jamiey Metcalf, 24, of Fulton was indicted on charges of sexual misconduct involving a child, child abuse or neglect and child endangerment. Patrick Metcalf, 53, of Fulton was indicted on charges of statutory rape and sodomy, tampering with a victim in a felony case and child molestation.

The Metcalfs are married, Sheriff Clay Chism said. Patrick Metcalf was arrested in late June on initial charges of two counts each of statutory rape, statutory sodomy and tampering with a victim.

The release gave no details about the arrests or charges but said they were the result of a lengthy investigation by the sheriff’s office with assistance from the Missouri Children’s Division. Further arrests and charges are possible, the sheriff’s office said.

A probable cause statement filed when Patrick Metcalf was first arrested in June accusing him of having raped an 11-year-old girl.

Both Metcalfs were in custody Tuesday.
