Boone County to begin chip seal treatment of 36 sites beginning Friday
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
The annual preservation chip seal treatment on Boone County roads will start Friday and is scheduled for the next two weeks weather pending.
Boone County Resource Management, through contractor Missouri Petroleum Company, will be chip sealing 36 roads. If it rains, the project is pushed back one day.
The preservation chip seal will begin at about 7 a.m. each day and end at approximately 7 p.m. each day. There will be limited full road width closures lasting between 10 and 15 minutes.
Officials say there will be no parking allowed on the road during work hours, and signs will be posted prior to construction. Any vehicles parked on the street after the designated time will be towed at the owner’s expense.
Please use caution in all work zones and find an alternate route when deemed necessary.
