Two accused in Callaway County vehicle theft

Callaway County deputies have arrested two people on suspicion of stealing a motor vehicle from a home in the Auxvasse area.

The vehicle and other items were reported stolen Aug. 15 and deputies found the vehicle Tuesday in a “concealed location” just west of Fulton, the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. Investigators then arrested Chastidy Hoover, 29, of Auxvasse on suspicion of stealing a motor vehicle, the release said. Hoover was also booked on two felony drug possession charges related to another investigation that originated near Kingdom City. She was being held Wednesday on a $14,000 bond.

Jordan Raps, 32, of Fulton was arrested on suspicion of first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle, booked into the Callaway County Jail and posted a $4,500 bond.

The sheriff’s office said no other details about the case would be released.
