Police find wanted man after chase
A wanted man was found in Jefferson City Tuesday evening after he ran from police. Jimmy Bittle had seven warrants out for his arrest at the time he was found, with a bond of $134,000. Police responded to the 1700 block of Jefferson Street after they got a call in reference to the wanted person.
When officers got the area, they found Bittle hiding in the woods. Bittle then ran from police, but officers were able to catch him after a short foot chase. Bittle is facing new charges of resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The person who found Bittle was offered a $400 reward by Crime Stoppers.
