Mid-Missouri mayor offers reward after city’s park is vandalized
The mayor of a mid-Missouri town is offering a cash reward after the city’s park was vandalized.
According to Josh Seaver, the mayor of Belle, Missouri, city workers found someone had flipped over a large wooden bridge at the city’s park sometime over the weekend.
Seaver posted on Facebook Monday afternoon that he is offering $100 to anyone who gives information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the vandalism.
Seaver said it’s not the first time the city has dealt with vandalism this year.
Several windows were broken out at buildings in the park earlier this summer.
Seaver told ABC 17 News the city also continues to struggle with people driving through the flower beds at the entrance of the park.
The amount of damage done to the park is unknown.
