KMIZ

BOLIVAR, Mo. (AP) — A 38-year-old man who intentionally struck a Greene County Sheriff’s officer during a chase has been sentenced to 30 years in prison. Seth Hay was sentenced this week for injuring Greene County Sheriff’s Lt. Steve Westbrook in December 2020 near Bolivar. Investigators said Hay was fleeing from officers after a domestic disturbance at his home. Westbrook was trying to set up spike strips to stop him. Prosecutors said Hay intentionally hit Westbrook’s vehicle, which hit the officer. Westbrook has returned to the sheriff’s office but was moved to a different department as he continues to undergo rehabilitation.
