Safety Kaleb Prewett dismissed from Mizzou football team
Mizzou football coach Barry Odom told media members during SEC Media Days that former starting safety Kaleb Prewett was no longer with the team.
Prior to Prewett’s dismissal from Mizzou football, the team had suspended the Blue Springs native in January. The team would only say the suspension was based on an undisclosed team violation.
Prewett started every game for the Tigers in 2017 and was the team’s fourth leading tackler with 60. Prewett began the season at linebacker before moving to safety during the final seven games of the season.
The Tigers now have lost both starting safeties from the 2017 season after Anthony Sherrils graduated and Prewett is no longer on the team. Mizzou’s most recent depth chart lists Joshuah Bledsoe and Cam Hilton as the new starters heading into 2018.
