Storm chances continue into this evening, Sunday… Cooler temperatures arriving this week

TONIGHT: Thunderstorms look to continue across much of Mid-Missouri through this evening, especially if you live north of I-70. These storms look to remain BELOW severe limits, so we’re likely NOT going to be seeing and damaging winds or large hail. We’ll continue to have those storms push through the area into the early morning hours on Sunday, with places east of HWY 63 and south of I-70 having the potential for rain headed to church on Sunday. Lows will only cool off into the low to middle 70s overnight under mostly cloudy skies.

SUNDAY: Outside of some early morning rain chances we look to stay dry into lunch time on Sunday– however, we’re going to watch storm chance increase east of HWY 63 tomorrow afternoon. You’ll also notice much cooler temperatures as we hover in the mid-80s for much of tomorrow.

EXTENDED: The start of your work week looks to include more chances of thunderstorms, along with cooler temperatures. By Tuesday and Wednesday we’re even having some chances at seeing temperatures dip back below average, to couple with lower humidities as well. Long range temperature forecasts indicate that this looks to last through a good chunk of the last half of July, making up for a good bit of the nasty heat and humidity that has been a pain for most of the summer.
