Tina the Turkey killed by truck in Chapel Hill and Forum area
Tina the turkey, the notorious urban male turkey that captured the hearts of Columbia residents, has died.
According to the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC), someone tried to shoo Tina out of the way when a truck came and accidentally hit Tina.
The MDC said they didn’t want this to happen but rather wanted to capture him so he wouldn’t get hurt. TheMDC also emphasized the importance of not feeding wildlife.
It’s suspected that being fed by residents is what made Tina so accustomed to humans, but this could not be confirmed by the MDC.
