UPDATE: Three-year-old dies days after nearly drowning at Lake of the Ozarks
UPDATE 7/9: MSHP has confirmed that three-year-old Jared Jones died Monday.
ORIGINAL STORY: A three-year-old boy was airlifted to University Hospital Saturday afternoon almost drowning at the Lake of the Ozarks, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol online drowning reports.
The report said the incident occurred around 4:45 p.m. near the half-mile marker of Pearson Branch.
According to troopers, the boy wandered from home and was later found in the water.
The report said he was not wearing a life vest.
