Arnold man seriously injured after boat crash at Lake of the Ozarks

A man is recovering from serious injuries after his boat crashed at the Lake of the Ozarks Friday night, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s online boating incident reports.

The report said that Martin Beers, 51, of Arnold, Missouri, was boating on the Grand Glaize Arm, near the Watson Hollow Cove around 6:30 p.m. when his boat hit a wake from another boat.

According to the report, Beers’ boat went airborne after hitting the wake. As Beers’ boat landed, it struck the water and caused Beers to hit the steering column and then a buoy.

Beers was transported to Lake Regional Hospital with serious injuries.

According to the report, the other boater was not injured.
