University of Missouri hires new provost
On Thursday, Chancellor Alexander Cartwright announced a new provost and executive vice chancellor for academic affairs for the University of Missouri. Latha Ramchand is the current dean at the C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston. She officially starts August 15.
The former provost, Garnett Stokes, left in January after three years to become the 22nd President at The University of New Mexico.
The final candidate forum at Mizzou was held back in May. At that time, the University had spent more than $150,000 on the hire, which included an outside search firm.
