Remaining warm and humid, with limited rain chances

TUESDAY: Clouds are still with us this afternoon, as morning storms continue to track well to our southwest. Despite the clouds it will still be another warm and humid day. Highs are expected to top out in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees today, with gradual clearing expected. Heat indices will likely climb into the lower 90s during the peak heating of the day. Overall this afternoon into the evening will be manageable, as the warmest temps hold off for a few more days.

TONIGHT: Most of mid-Missouri will stay dry tonight under partly cloudy skies as overnight lows drop towards 70 degrees. A cluster of storms looks to develop to the west into Kansas late tonight and will move east into Mid-Missouri through the early morning hours. It’s likely that the morning commute will be a wet one, so make plans to grab that umbrella.

EXTENDED: After the potential for morning storms, we will dry out by Wednesday afternoon under partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will stay in the upper 80s Wednesday but will climb into the low 90s Thursday and Friday, possibly reaching the mid 90s this weekend. The humidity will climb and the heat index will reach the upper 90s Friday and near 100 this weekend. Rain chances look minimal within the next 7-days as we will likely stay dry for the upcoming weekend. Watch ABC 17 News for the latest forecast and check back here for updates.
