Emergency crews respond to crash on Highway 63, south of Columbia

UPDATE – 7:30 A.M.: The Boone County Fire Protection District confirmed a single-vehicle crash in the median near the Turkey Creek Bridge south of Columbia.

The female driver was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries, according to Asst. Chief Gale Blomenkamp.

As of Tuesday morning, Blomenkamp said it’s unclear if weather was a factor in the crash.

ORIGINAL: The Boone County Fire Protection District and law enforcement responded to a crash early Tuesday morning on Highway 63.

It happened just after 3 a.m. near the Turkey Creek Bridge south of Columbia.

ABC 17 News saw one car in the ditch that appeared to have crashed while traveling northbound.

An ambulance was also on scene.

ABC 17 News is working to confirm if the wreck was weather-related and if anyone was hurt.
