Car catches fire after T-bone crash, no one injured

A vehicle caught fire Saturday afternoon after being struck while turning onto Highway KK in Columbia.

According to a deputy with the Boone County Sheriff’s Department, the driver was turning from Leatherbrook Drive onto KK when an oncoming vehicle struck the side of their car.

After the crash, the car then hit a nearby lamppost, and caught fire. The flames were focused under the hood of the car. No one was injured.
