Special prosecutor to give update on Greitens’ invasion of privacy case

Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker is scheduled to release details about about whether she intends to refile criminal invasion of privacy charges against former Missouri governor Eric Greitens.

The case was referred to Baker’s office in May to act as special prosecutor in the case after the charge was dropped by the St. Louis Circuit Attorney‘s office.

At the time, Gardner stated the intent to have the charge refiled.

Greitens’ is accused of taking an unauthorized, partially nude photo of his former mistress and using it as blackmail. The 44-year-old Republican resigned June 1.

The statement is scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday.
