Mid-Summer-like pattern holds strong for Mid-Missouri

THIS AFTERNOON: We look to remain fairly dry into this evening, however, similar to yesterday, some isolated pop-up storm activity could be possible. Another warm & humid day is on tap, with temperatures in the upper 80s.

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy skies remain tonight with a small chance of overnight storms, however most areas will stay dry. With clouds in place low temperatures only drop towards 70, also thanks to a south wind from 5-10 mph.

EXTENDED: Through the weekend, this warm and humid weather pattern continues with a spot storm chance. The better chance for storms looks Saturday morning as the nose of the low level jet stream will be near us. While no organized severe storms will occur, the heat could make for a few isolated strong or severe storms with damaging wind and large hail the main threats. The overall pattern shows a chance of rain and t-storms each day, with afternoon highs near 90 and overnight lows near 70. Watch ABC 17 News for the latest forecast and check back here for updates.
