Street fights ends with pedestrian crash, one taken to hospital

Authorities in Mexico, Mo. are promising to keep investigating after a vehicle struck a pedestrian who was leaving the scene of a fight.

According to the Mexico Department of Public Safety, Amanda Walker, 21, of Laddonia, hit Richard Dollens, 22, of Mexico, Mo., on Wednesday morning in the 300 block of Craig Street. Dollens was in the roadway, after having been in a fight with another man in the nearby 700 block of MacFarlane St. Dollens’ fight allegedly led to a group of people getting into a number of smaller fights, a news release said.

Dollens went to a SSM Health/St. Mary’s Hospital-Audrain which released him after treatment.

The Mexico Department of Public Safety said they are continuing to investigate “to determine appropriate charges against the various people involved.”
