The Weather Alert Day has expired. No more strong/severe storms expected this afternoon.

FINAL UPDATE – 2:30PM

The MCS that tracked through Mid-Missouri earlier this morning left a trailing area of residual cloud cover which inhibited the atmosphere from being able to re-develop any unstable characteristics. With the diminishing threat for thunderstorms this afternoon, we have chosen to expire the Weather Alert Day.

Any left over clouds will slowly clear into this evening as temperatures close in on more seasonal averages this evening, along with lower humidity!
