Man charged for fight over chair

Charges were filed Monday about a fight over a chair just on Bumper Hill Road off Highway 54 just southwest of Camdenton.

Adam Holloway, 43, was charged with three felonies and a misdemeanor for an alleged dispute with two other men. They claim they both confronted Holloway on Friday for taking a chair that was not his and putting it in friend’s car while picking up some of his property.

One man says he got an axe handle to defend himself after Holloway pulled a 6″ folding blade, and when he tried to get a “sword”, possibly a 13″ knife from a shed, he tried to close the door on him. He refused treatment from medics at the scene for superficial cuts on his hand.

The shed’s owner claims Holloway caused about $300 in damage trying to escape the shed.

Holloway told a deputy he acted in self-defense. As of Wednesday afternoon, he was still in custody at the Camden County jail.
